The story: The popularity of our inaugural blog recipe, Julia Child's classic Coq au Vin, led us to create our bestselling blend debuted at the Lake Forest farmers’ market.
Zen Spice Spotlight: Oregano is a classic aromatic and warm Mediterranean herb which loves strong flavors. Its delicate leaves contain the compound Carvacrol which is warming and activates our taste buds.
Occasions: Coq au Vin, a slowly braised chicken and herb dish infused with red wine, is fitting for a gourmet splash on any weeknight, or a relaxed dinner party with friends at the week’s end.
Complete your meal: Add creamy mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad with walnuts, lemon juice and olive oil.
To drink: Oregon or Washington Pinot Noir or a Burgundy.
